I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
