Jeffrey Epstein purchased a smaller island - the Little St James - originally in the late 1990s, but subsequently obtained the larger Great St James in the year 2016 for around $22.5 million.
These photos suggest he had drawn up development schemes to develop the 161-acre island by constructing homes, an performance venue, an underwater office and a pool.
Marked on the drawing is Pillsbury Sound, a strait in the region, indicated on the bottom right.
The site plan is marked up in notations in red and features a key identifying various parts of the land.
Alongside the main plan are what seem to be an additional nine construction diagrams and architectural plans, featuring layouts for boat shelters.
